Studio & On-Location Photography
Our main aim is to produce works of durable art for your home or office. All our prints of portraits are guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Printing on canvas means your photographs have the appearance of paintings. The print is framed but needs no glass. The print is protected by a specially imported UV inhibitor to make it water-resistant and to prevent it from fading.
We also offer exclusive Royal Finish products, which have the same characteristics as canvas prints, except that it has a smoother texture. Royal Finish is a unique product that is currently only available at Johan Pretorius Photography in South Africa.
We reproduce portraits on canvas in-house, and print on the latest 44″ Epson K3 printer.
Weddings
We love wedding photography, and this fills our weekends during the summer months. Creativity is one of the most important components of each couple’s wedding day, and we make the couple feel special and comfortable while capturing the lovely story of each unique wedding day. Most grooms dread the photo session, but the whitey jokes by Johan guarantee that even the groom has fun!
Every couple receives a lay flat story album that is produced in-house. We are very proud of the fact that wedding images are usually ready for collection when the bridal couple returns from their honeymoon!
Every wedding deserves to be recorded by only the very best and latest equipment, and all the talent and expertise of a truly professional photographer.
Commercial / Aerial / Architectural / Corporate Events
This type of photography is very specialised and it requires a great deal of technical skill, special equipment and extensive experience. When we photograph buildings and interiors, we use Shift Tilt lenses that are specially designed to eliminate vertical lines that appear to fall over.
Sports
I have photographed dozens of major sporting events, such as the FIFA Soccer World Cups, Rugby World Cups the Cricket World Cups and the World Athletics Championships. My photographs have been published in many of the biggest newspapers and magazines worldwide. I am equipped with the best and latest technology so that I can capture and wire images right from the sidelines of the sports event, to meet any publishing deadline, local or international.

Video Production
Producing a corporate video for advertising purposes is an extremely complex process and a great deal of skill and time goes into the final product. Once a client has approved a script, we shoot all the image material we need and then assemble it. We record a voice-over and spend hours editing the final product.
We use only broadcasting quality video cameras at 50 megabytes per second high definition (HD). The industry standard Adobe Premiere CC editing software on Apple Mac is used for all video editing.
