Wedding Hints and Tips

* When going to the hairdresser, always wear a buttoned shirt to avoid messing up your hair otherwise you will have to take it off over your head.

* Take all price tags / stickers off the underside of your shoes, especially if you are kneeling in the church & remember to wear them in a little.

* Check with your Minister if he minds photographs being taken during the service.

* Try to leave your seating plan until last as it will always change!

* Don’t seat the older folks near the speakers, they don’t enjoy the loud music as much, so spare a thought to them.

* When arranging seating for the Photographer, DJ & Videographer, it is a good idea to seat them at a smaller table together as they are getting up & down all the time & this can be disruptive to the other guests.

* It is important to use name cards at the main table as there is always confusion about who sits where and it can be quite embarrassing with a room full of eyes on you.

* It is a good idea to think about whom to include for your family photographs, as you don’t want to leave anyone out and this generally takes up a lot of time if unprepared!

* The venue for your photographs needs to be carefully chosen. Remember you don’t want to travel too far as this takes up time & you want somewhere where the lighting conditions are good at the time you are going to be taking photographs.

* Take something to drink i.e. a bottle of champagne & some glasses with you on your photo shoot. You will be thirsty after the church and this will relax you a little more! Besides it looks good in the photographs!

* Put somebody in charge of your wedding gifts, i.e. taking them to a safe place without being damaged!

* Ensure that your MC meets the DJ, Videographer & Photographer, so that if there are any problems they know who to go to.

* Be sure that when you throw the bouquet & garter that you are on a stable chair & beware of low ceilings & ceiling fans
